Final 2014 Box Office Numbers

Disney fared very well at the 2014 Box Office. With the #1 film, a box office surprise in Guardians of the Galaxy, Disney had a great year. Marvel had that and Captain America in #3 and Big Hero 6 (sort of) in #9 and still playing. Disney Studios had #6 with Maleficent, and Disney characters appeared in both #4 The Lego Movie and #7 X-Men: Days of Future Past. 28 films in total have a piece of Disney in them, with a total of $2.183 Billion dollars take at the box (again, not all of that goes into Disney’s pockets). However, it was a very good year.
